I'm just catching up on my Spoken Lore episodes, and wow, there's some deeply mythic writing here. I'd actually not read the Volsung Saga before, but right around the time Brynhild told Sigurd that she knew his eyes when he rode through the fire to her, but could not see clearly because of the veil lying over her fate, I got shivers that pretty much lasted throughout the rest of the episodes recorded thus far. There's some powerful story here--thanks for introducing me to it.
